PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the campus Principal and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction/Technology, instruct Criminal Justice classes in academic, practical and technical skills associated with the career field.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field, Preferred
Experience: Three years experience in Law Enforcement or related field.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Instruct academic, industrial and Tech-Prep Criminal Justice classes
- Develop lesson plans and organize class time in such a way as to maximize student learning
- Prepare students for successful completion of End of Course exams for post secondary academic or technical college credit
- Sponsor SKILLS USA chapter and attend associated student leadership competitions
- Sponsor Campus Crime Stoppers and coordinate with local police agencies associated with Jefferson County Crime stoppers organizations
- Consult with Student Activity Coordinator for student security personnel during special events on campus, including parking lot support for home football games
- Other duties as may be assigned
